The center panel is part of a 19th century Japanese ikat textile (CMA)*. Other Japanses ikats, shibori, shima stripes, and yukata are incorporated into the design. Machine- and hand-quilted
*The Cleveland Museum of Art donated to the Textile Art Alliance a large numger of de-accessioned textiles from the museum's Education Department to be used for fundraising purposes. Works with (CMA) have utilized one of these textiles in the creation of the piece.
